For years, Meyaard Tolman & Venlet p.c. has been providing quality, personalized financial guidance to businesses and individuals. Meyaard Tolman & Venlet p.c.'s expertise ranges from basic tax management and accounting services to more in-depth services such as audits, financial statements, and financial planning.

Our mission is to help clients maintain financial viability in the present while taking a proactive approach to achieve future goals. This requires open communication to reach an understanding of our clients' needs, thorough research, and sound analysis. Meyaard Tolman & Venlet p.c. is dedicated to meeting these goals with high standards of excellence and professionalism.
Our Team
Glenn started the firm on July 1, 1985. He had previously been a partner in another CPA firm for sixteen years. Glenn has completed over forty years in combined public and industrial accounting, and continues to serve small businesses, individuals and trusts in their financial statement and tax needs.

Jayne E. Venlet, CPA, joined the firm in May, 1989, after completing over seven years experience in service and industrial accounting. Jayne works with many of the firm’s nonprofit organization clients, while also serving business and individual clients. As well, Jayne has served on a number of not-for-profit organization and school boards. She currently serves as a director on the board of Good Samaritan Ministries in Holland and the Finance Committee of her church.

Charles D. Olszewski, CPA, joined the firm in September, 2000, after approximately seventeen years with a Grand Rapids CPA firm. He has over twenty-five years experience providing accounting, auditing, tax and consulting services to a variety of clients, with an emphasis on not-for-profit organizations. He was admitted as a partner in the firm in 2004. Chuck has served on several boards of directors, including Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids and Railside Golf Club.

Jerry L. Broekhuis, CPA, MST, joined the firm in late 2003. Jerry gained much of his taxation expertise employed with international manufacturing corporations. Coupled with Jerry’s many years of public accounting experience, his knowledge lends a unique perspective to the multitude of federal and state tax issues that arise on a continual basis. Jerry has served on several boards of directors, and he currently serves on the board of directors of Love, Inc. and on the finance committee of Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity.

Since joining the firm in November, 2004, Carrie VanTil, CPA, has worked with a number of our small businesses and individual clients, providing a range of services from QuickBooks consulting tax planning and tax return preparation.

In September, 2006, John P. Rosendall, CA, CPA, joined the firm as a specialist in the accounting and auditing area, after spending seven years with a large regional certified public accounting firm, working with a wide variety of for- profit and not-for-profit organizations. John’s work history also includes employment with another Grand Rapids firm, as well as a Canadian public accounting firm, for a total of over twenty years of accounting experience. John currently serves on the school board of Plymouth Christian Schools in Grand Rapids.

Matt joined the firm in the summer of 2009 after completing four years of service with a large regional CPA firm. Matt has experience working with a number of not-for-profit organizations, local governmental entities, and small businesses providing a range of services from financial statement audits to reviews as well as preparing the entity's related tax returns.
